Barbara Adler

A two-time member of the acclaimed Vancouver Poetry Slam team, Barbara Alder has performed extensively both in Canada and the US. At this year's Poetry Slam Nationals, Barbara so impressed audiences and organizers that she was invited to perform at venues across Europe and at the prestigious Bowery Poetry Club in NYC. Her recent tour of the American Midwest with "The Backup Divas" was a huge success, receiving standing ovations from some of the most notoriously hard to please audiences in the United States. She performed at the opening night of the 2003 Vancouver Children's Festival and will appear at the upcoming Vancouver Storytelling Festival. She has been published in the poetry anthology "Ten Dollar Words", is the author of two books ("Teeth Like Rakes" and "It Could be This"), and is currently working on first CD.
