March 2004 saw a spectacular run for the Spoken Word live concert series. The artists really captivated audiences at the venues as well as on the air from Vancouver, Winnipeg, Guelph, Montreal, and Sackville (NB)! There are many new Spoken Word fans out there now. Thanx to all those who came to the shows, tuned in, and helped out.

Check out the fine folks at Capital Slam. They're based in Ottawa, Ontario, but quite a few of them are working on starting a national non-profit association that will both organize festivals and provide resources for spoken word artists. |
