The Dig Your Roots Team

	Melissa Kaestner National Coordinator Melissa has many roots in both music and radio. She started singing at a very early age and got her first guitar shortly thereafter. She has yet to try her hand at a music career, but instead has developed one in an area that supports musicians like her. Melissa began working in commercial radio in the States in 1993, but found her passion for campus and community radio in 1997 at CHSR FM in Fredericton, NB. She got involved in every department, including her own creation - the development and promotions department. From there she went to Toronto and did a short stint as music director at CHRY FM. While she actually did like Toronto, she left for NCRA/ANREC pastures in February 2002. She now lives in Ottawa where she still sings and plays, volunteers at CHUO FM, collects rocks, and lives for the journey instead of the destination.
